Arabian Nites- Jilbab review

So I bought a jilbab last month (I think) from Arabian Nites, it's a shop in East London under East London Mosque & The London Muslim Centre. It's an amazing shop and I love going in there, the jilbabs in there are totally my style, elegant and modest with a twist. Only problem is that they're really expensive, sometimes I think as nice as the jilbabs are they are not worth the price, but it's a great place to shop if you're treating yourself (or a friend/relative), for special occasions such as Eid and Weddings.

I bought this black jilbab from there because I really wanted something I could wear over my party outfit if I was going to someones house for dinner or even for special occasions so that I could wear it to the venue over my clothes. Ever since I got it I can't stop wearing it, it has come in so handy and I always think that if I'm actually wearing it then it was worth the money.

The jilbab buttons up at the front and has bead work motifs on the sleeves, top of the hood and at the back, it comes with pockets and a belt which can be tied at the back to adjust the size and fitting. The hood is attached with buttons so you can take it off if you're not going to wear it, this one also has some subtle silver piping at the back, at the wrists and along the rim of the hood, which jazzes it up a bit.

This is a great outfit to dress up or dress down an outfit, it actually makes a plain coloured jilbab worn underneath look ready for an evening out or dinner with friends. The fabric is like normal Saudi abaya material and very high quality, it's wide and flowey without looking like you're drowning in it.

So all in all I'm glad I bought this jilbab, they always have amazing new stock and it's definitely worth going to during their sales.

  2. MashaAllah! Love the almost gothic look... By gothic I'm talking turrets and old, mysterious building. Not body piercings and heavy metal :S
